Differences between stability and stagnation

Have you ever wondered if you are actually stable or stagnant? Stability is good, but it can become one of the things that little by little leads you to get stuck in what you do.

Based on my experience I have been able to experience both cases, at one time in my life I thought I had stability, but in reality I was stuck.

Studies
Keeping learning new things helps you generate new ideas, therefore you will have different ways of dealing with the problems that you find on your way, those people who usually read books on their topic of interest, have a better lexicon, more words in their vocabulary of course a more extensive knowledge on various topics.

Those who do NOT keep learning new things or specializing in what they already know are definitely stuck.

I propose the following scenario;

A new vacancy was opened in your company, but it requires a certain specialty, who do you think is going to win that new vacancy?

Exactly, those who like to learn new things, those who are not interested in learning new things, will ignore that and continue with their lives, they are not interested in learning more than what they already know.

Problem resolution
Has it happened to you that you see an old problem and say "I could solve this in another way" this has 2 positive points:

1- It means that your knowledge is wide after having solved that problem
2- You are looking at the past to see where you were and what you did because unconsciously or consciously you want to improve

I have a habit when I face a problem, I generally look for at least 2 solutions, this helps me to see things from different points of view and if I have to present my solution to a superior, this will give me extra points because I present viable alternatives to the resolution of the problem.

Confirmation bias
This concept has a fairly clear definition, it is likely that if you are someone curious you have already opened another tab in your browser and looked for it, if not, let me tell you that people who are stuck have confirmation bias in their day to day.

They tend to think that their solutions are the only ones to problems, their opinions count more than those of others and in debates, when they have to face a situation of demonstration with evidence, they tend to select only the evidence that benefits them or shows that they have the reason.

Emotional state
We can be very rough with our emotions, not very empathetic or very harsh with our colleagues, this is because as we are stagnant we are constantly in a defensive position in the face of any situation that happens to us.

Those who are usually self-taught usually have a broad overview of what they can improve or change in their lives, including the emotional field, unlike a person who is stagnant, a stable person is usually emotionally intelligent, knows how to listen, is empathic He has charisma and most importantly, he is socially active.

The ability to socialize is lost as we stagnate, of course, because you see that your coworkers, family or friends are always talking about the things they are learning and you don't know what to say why you haven't learned anything new for months or maybe years ago.

Summary
My general recommendation is that we must stay hungry for knowledge, you cannot get different results doing the same thing all the time, that increase, that position, that stress release is in your hands. Nobody owes you anything, you must be the architect of your life.
